Meetups & Events Liability Disclaimer – Her Travel Network

Operated by: Her Travel Network (“we”, “us”, “our”)
Her Travel Network provides an online platform for women to connect and communicate. Any meetups, trips, events, activities, accommodation sharing, or in-person interactions (“Offline Activities”) that arise from connections made through Her Travel Network are organised independently by members and are not hosted, supervised, managed, or controlled by Her Travel Network.
Participation in any Offline Activities is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.
1. No Responsibility for Offline Activities
Her Travel Network:
- Does not organise, run, supervise, or manage in-person meetups
- Does not verify the identity, background, intentions, or safety of members offline
- Does not provide security, supervision, or safeguarding at in-person activities
- Does not act as an event organiser, tour operator, or travel provider
All Offline Activities are personal arrangements between individual members.
2. Assumption of Risk
By choosing to attend any Offline Activity connected to Her Travel Network, you acknowledge and accept that:
- You are solely responsible for your own safety and wellbeing
- You assess all risks personally before participating
- You participate entirely at your own discretion
Risks may include (but are not limited to):
- Personal injury
- Illness
- Accidents
- Theft or property loss
- Travel disruptions
- Disputes between members
- Emotional distress
3. No Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Her Travel Network accepts no liability for any:
- Injury
- Loss
- Damage
- Illness
- Accident
- Theft
- Dispute
- Harm
- Death
arising directly or indirectly from participation in any Offline Activity.
This applies whether the Offline Activity is:
- Informal or organised
- Free or paid
- Local or international
- Group-based or one-to-one
4. Member Responsibility
Members are solely responsible for:
- Their own travel arrangements
- Accommodation bookings
- Transport
- Insurance
- Health requirements
- Personal security
- Financial transactions with other members
Her Travel Network is not a party to any agreement, payment, booking, or arrangement made between members.
5. Personal Insurance
You are strongly advised to arrange appropriate personal insurance, including (where relevant):
- Travel insurance
- Health insurance
- Personal liability insurance
- Activity-specific insurance
Participation without appropriate insurance is entirely at your own risk.
6. Children & Youth Participation
Where Offline Activities involve children:
- Parents and guardians remain fully responsible for their child’s safety, behaviour, and supervision
- Her Travel Network does not provide childcare, supervision, or safeguarding at offline events
- No background checks are carried out on members for offline child-related activities
7. No Agency
Her Travel Network does not act as:
- A travel agent
- A tour operator
- An accommodation provider
- An events company
- A safeguarding authority
We provide connection only – not execution, safety management, or protection.
8. Acknowledgement & Acceptance
By using Her Travel Network and participating in any Offline Activities, you confirm that:
- You understand and accept all risks
- You release Her Travel Network from all liability related to Offline Activities
- You agree that participation is entirely voluntary and at your own risk
